Authentic Radical Liberal Party

The Partido Liberal Radical Auténtico ( PLRA, German Liberal Radical Authentic Party) is a liberal party in Paraguay.

Founded by Domingo Laino 1978 as opposition to the dictatorship of Alfredo Stroessner, it goes back to the old Liberal Party of 1881. It is next to the Partido Colorado one of the two major parties in Paraguay and a member of the party alliance Alianza para el Cambio Patriótica. She is an observer at the International Liberals. Your current chairman is Miguel Abdon Saguier.

Last President from the ranks of the Partido Liberal Radical Auténtico was Federico Franco, Fernando Lugo after 2012 was deposed as president by Congress, so that the Vice-President Franco took over the office. His term ended in August 2013.
