Automator (software)

Automator is a program from Apple that comes standard with the operating system Mac OS X version 10.4. Automator is used to run routine tasks automated. The program does so in some ways the functions of a robot, which is also illustrated by the program icon.

Before Automator these processes had to be done with AppleScript, for which at least basic programming skills are required. On the basis of a simple and intuitive wizard can strung together with Automator commands and are processed sequentially so. A plurality of programs, provides default actions can be accessed in Automator.
