Avak is an impact crater near Barrow in the U.S. state of Alaska.

The diameter of the crater is twelve kilometers and the age is estimated at less than 95 million years. It is located partly on land and partly in the sea. At the surface of the crater is not visible because it is covered with sediments of Pleistocene and Pliocene.

In the years 1951 and 1952, a 1225 -meter-deep well was drilled, proved the cores gained that there is an impact crater in Avak. In the crater deposits are of hydrocarbons.
