Aven d'Orgnac

Orgnac is a stalactite cave near the village Orgnac -l'Aven, between the valley of the Ardèche and the small town of Barjac, in the south of France Cevennes.

The "Great Room" has a dimension of 125 m to 90 m wide, with a height of approximately 30 m. Every year, approximately 140,000 visitors the cave. The trail is about 5 km long.

In the immediate vicinity of the entrance of the cave you can the Musée de Préhistoire take a look at the pre-and early history of the region, including stone tools from the archaeological site Orgnac 3

Apart from the usual tour of tourists provides the management of Orgnac also caving excursions. It will be offered in small groups with a duration of 3 or 8 hours and varying difficulty tours.
