Avery (crater)

Avery is a small impact crater near the eastern edge of the Moon, near the western shore of Mare Smythii. To the east is the crater Haldane, and in the southwest to the crater Carrillo and Gilbert are emerging.

Avery is circular, bowl -shaped and has a small central crater floor.

Before he by the International Astronomical Union ( IAU) got its own name in 1976, he was referred to as ' Gilbert U'.
