Ávvir

Ávvir ( German: attention) is a newspaper published in Northern Sami language and is sold in Finland, Sweden and Norway. The newspaper was formed by the merger of two North Amish newspapers Min Áigi and ASSU.

The newspaper is published three times a week at a time. A four-to five-time appearance is scheduled for the future.

The first edition of Ávvir published on the occasion of the Sami National Day on 6 February 2008. Editors of the newspaper are located in the villages Karasjohka and Guovdageaidnu.
