Axel Roos

Axel Roos ( born August 19, 1964 in Rodalben ) is a former German football player. He now works as a football coach.

Family

Axel Roos, whose father had played Ludwig Roos with the former division side FK Pirmasens, grew up in Thaleischweiler- frogs. Today he lives with his wife and children in Otter mountain near Kaiserslautern.

Playing career

Roos until 1979 youth player at SG Thaleischweiler- frogs, then he was six years in the youth of the 1st FC Kaiserslautern ( FCK 1 ) active. For this club he played as a professional 1984-2001 a total of 328 games, including 303 in the first and 25 in the 2nd Bundesliga. Most of his 18 goals ( 17 in the first, a goal in the 2nd league ) for the FCK he shot in the 1980s, when he still took part in the offensive.

Roos won the first FCK at two German championships (1991 and 1998 ), two DFB Cup victories (1990 and 1996), the Supercup victory in 1991 and the German Indoor Championship in 1997. He is the player of the club that participated in the most title wins has. With 22 years of club membership he holds at FCK the "fidelity record " since the founding of the Bundesliga in 1963.

Coaching career

After acquiring the coaching license Roos was a manager and coach of FK Pirmasens. By the end of 2006, he served as assistant coach of the Albanian national football team under the direction of head coach Hans -Peter Briegel. After a brief stint as football teachers in Bahrain, he is the head coach of the football school and Axel Roos in Otter mountain.
