Axelle Carolyn

Axelle Carolyn ( born April 3, 1979 in Brussels) is a Belgian actress, film director, film producer, screenwriter, make-up artist and author.

Life and career

Axelle Carolyn began her career working as a freelance film journalist and worked for online magazines specializing in horror and fantastic. As an actress, she made her debut in 2005 in the Spanish horror film Beneath Still Waters.

Her first major role was played Carolyn 2008 British film Doomsday - Day of Vengeance, where she also assisted the designer who was responsible for the make- up effects. 2009 and 2010, she appeared in several films, including Red Light, Psychosis, Feral and had a cameo in The Descent 2 - The hunt continues, but which is not seen in the finished version. It was followed by a role in A Reckoning and Centurion next to Olga Kurylenko and Michael Fassbender.

In 2009 she published the Compendium It Lives Again! Horror Movies in the New Millennium on the horror cinema of the first 2000s, with a foreword by Neil Marshall and an introduction by Mick Garris.

2011 Carolyn turned under the title The Last Post her first short film. This was followed by Hooked, The Halloween Kid and The Tomb Raider.

Since 2007, Carolyn has been married to British film director Neil Marshall. The couple lives in London.
