Ayhan Gezen

Ayhan Gezen ( born June 25, 1972 in Istanbul ) is a retired German -Turkish football player. He achieved his greatest success in 1993 when he surprisingly reached the final of the DFB Cup with the so-called Hertha Bubis.

Playing career

Youth

Born in Istanbul in 1972 Ayhan Gezen came the age of four with his family to Germany. There he played in the youth teams of the Berlin clubs SC Siemens City, Hertha CFC 06 and SC Staaken.

Hertha BSC

In 1990, Ayhan Gezen to the second team of Hertha BSC, with whom he finished in 1990/91 a 6th place in the Oberliga Berlin. The following season Hertha amateurs then played due to the league reform in the Oberliga Nordost which they finished in fourth place as the best Berlin representative. In the same season the Hertha Amateurs won the first time with teams from East and West Berlin jointly discharged National Cup with a 1-0 victory in the final against the Reinickendorfer foxes. This one qualified for the DFB-Pokal 1992 /93. More career

After Gezen was unemployed for some time, he moved to FC Berlin in autumn 1996, with whom he always took a mid-table in the third-tier Regionalliga. In the meantime rückbenannten in BFC Dynamo club reached the final of the 1999 Gezen Paul Rusch Cup. There Dynamo won 4-1 against Türkspor Berlin, where Gezen the 1-0 opening goal was successful.

Then moved Ayhan Gezen to Rot- Weiß Erfurt. With the Thuringians Gezen finished 7th in the regional league - season 1999 /2000. Due to the Regional Reform RWE had to do in order to remain in the Regional League against FC Schönberg 95 two games in the relegation. Despite the 0-1 defeat in the first leg, Erfurt was able to secure through a 4:1 in domestic Steigerwald stadium in the league.

After this season Gezen returned for a year to BFC Dynamo. In the Oberliga Nordost he won with his club the North Squadron, failed in the promotion relegation but after two games on 1 FC Magdeburg.

After the end of the season he moved to SV Ayhan Gezen Altlüdersdorf while he studied business administration in parallel. With the SVA played Gezen in fünftklassigen Association League Brandenburg, in the him go alone in the season 2002 /03 eleven goals.

In the summer of 2004 Gezen Altlüdersdorf turned his back and signed a contract with the Spandau SV. With the Spandauern he reached the 9th place in the fifth division.
