Azilises

Azilises ( * before 57 BC; † at or after 35 BC) was an Indo - Scythian king.

He is as good as known only from his coins and is designated as a Great King of kings. A few of his coins call him along with Azes I., which may suggest a common government, but was perhaps only very briefly. About imprints show in any case that he followed Azes I and was then followed by Azes II. His silver and copper coins come from Taxila, Pushkalavati and from the middle Indus. This corresponded obviously his territory. From Taxila comes a coin that was used together with a of the Roman emperor Augustus found and could be an indication of a later dating.
