Aziz Yıldırım

Aziz Yıldırım ( born November 2, 1952 in the province of Diyarbakır ) is a Turkish businessman and football functionary of Kurdish origin. Since 1998 he is president of the sports club Fenerbahçe SK.

Life

The civil engineer by profession has transformed the football division of the association on the model of Western top clubs into a successful business enterprise. After missed championship on the final day in Denizli Yıldırım met on 18 May 2006 from his office as club president, but was only a short time later, re-elected on June 25, the club president.

Method

Due to several accusations of manipulation of which him the Turkish Football Federation TFF had previously acquitted, he was in custody since July 3, 2011. The trial began on February 14, 2012 in Istanbul. On July 2, 2012 Aziz Yıldırım was found guilty and sentenced to a penalty of six years and three months, but until the final sentencing he is on the loose.

Achievements

His club 's centenary anniversary anvisiertes 2007 goal of a net turnover of the equivalent of 90 million euros has already been achieved in 2005. Yıldırım brought the club to the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
