B't X

B't X (pronounced as beat X) is a manga series of Japanese Masami Kurumada signatory. The series has also been implemented as an anime television series and OVA.

The plot revolves around Teppei, who wants to rescue his brother, and modern combat robot named B'ts. The work can be classified in the genre science fiction, Mecha, action and adventure.

Action

Teppei Takamiya living as a farmer on the island north of Japan Kamui. His older brother Kotaro Takamiya went to Germany to study robotics and became one of the best scientists in the world in this field. Five years later, they meet on a robot exhibition in China again. But there Kotaro is kidnapped by soldiers of the machine empire. This has a base in the Gobi desert and boasts ultra-modern robot to possess so-called B'ts. This combat robot that can have different shapes, operate at a so-called Breakheart with energy. This is operated with human blood, causing the B't is bound to humans.

In pursuit of the kidnappers Teppei hits fast at first B't and is defeated by this. He ends up hurt at a garbage dump of the empire. As there the B't X gives his blood to life again, he gains a new ally. Both escape and soon try together to rid Kotaro.

Manga

The manga by Masami Kurumada was published in 1994 in the magazine Shōnen Ace Kadokawa Shoten of the publisher. Later, he appeared in 16 anthologies ( tankōbon ).

The series also appeared in English at Tokyopop, in French at Pika Édition and in Italian by Star Comics. It was published by Grupo Editorial Vid and Otakuland in Spanish. In German the manga was released by the publisher Planet Manga. The translation is by Tom Schnellbächer.

Anime

1996 was produced to manga a 25- episode anime television series. Directed by Mamoru Hamatsu and the character design is by Hideyuki Motohashi. The mecha design took Hirotoshi Takaya. The series was broadcast from 6 April to 21 September in 1996 in Japanese television. In the years 1997 and 1998, an OVA was released to the series with 14 episodes under the title B't X Neo, which was also produced by Kyokuchi -Tokyo Movie.

The TV series has been translated into English, Italian and French. Also, the OVA was released in English, the transmitter radiated the manga OVA in French from. Magic Kids and TV Azteca sent series and OVA in Spanish, ABS-CBN in Tagalog.

The music of the TV series was composed by Akira Senju. The header title ~ ~ HARUKA Sailing For My Dream comes from Fence of Defence and the end credits song Boku no Ikikata (僕 の 生き方) was produced by Blue Boy.
