B. Y. Raghavendra

BY Raghavendra ( Bookanakere Yeddyurappa Raghavendra, Raghavendra and Yeddyurappa; Kannada: .. ಬಿ ವೈ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ; born August 16, 1973 in Shikaripur ) is an Indian politician of the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP ) in the state of Karnataka. Since 2009 he has been Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the total Indian Parliament.

BY Raghavendra was born on 16 August 1973 in the town in the district of Shimoga in Shikaripur Zentralkarnataka. His father is BS Yeddyurappa, the BJP held a leading politician in the state of 2007 and 2008 to 2011, the Office of the Chief Minister of Karnataka. BY Raghavendra is a Hindu and belongs to the Lingayat, one in Karnataka widespread and influential political caste. He completed his education with a bachelor's degree in business management in Shimoga. Since 1997, Raghavendra is married to R. Tejaswini. The couple has two sons.

His political career began BY Raghavendra in the parliamentary elections in India, 2009. He settled in the constituency of Shimoga stand as a candidate of the BJP. As a result of the election BY Raghavendra defeated the opposition candidate of the Congress party, former chief minister of Karnataka S. Bangarappa, and moved as one of the 19 BJP MPs from Karnataka in the Lok Sabha.

BY Raghavendra was involved in 2011 in the corruption scandal involving his father BS Yeddyurappa. Yeddyurappa was alleged to have Raghavendra and other family members land zugeschanzt well below market value, which then resell them with great profit to private companies. After Yeddyurappa, who had fallen out because of the corruption scandal with the BJP, in December 2012, his own party, who had founded Karnataka Janata Paksha ( KJP ), also BY Raghavendra KJP began to support. As a result, he was expelled in April 2013 from the BJP. In January 2014, Yeddyurappas KJP united but again with the BJP and Raghavendra was readmitted to the BJP.
