BA 330

The BA 330 space station module ( formerly known as Nautilus space complex modulus ) is a planned inflatable space module of the Bigelow Aerospace series that emerged from the TransHab program of NASA. Bigelow Aerospace plans to use this module to build a private space station for commercial use.

The BA 330

BA 330 has the same components as the Sundancer module essentially. In contrast to this, it should be about twice as large and have a volume of 330 m³ after deployment in space. This results in a length of 13.7 m with a diameter of 6.7 m. The BA 330 module corresponds to the TransHab concept of volume. Due to the larger volume of a crew capacity of 6 persons for an extended period is not critical. The launch of the BA 330 module is after the start of the Sundancer module 2015 with the construction of orbital space complex, consisting of a connecting node, two Sundancer modules and one BA 330 module is provided.

The primary task of the BA 330 module, analogous to the Sundancer module, the demonstration of the Habitat technology, providing a habitat for a crew, so that they, among other things can also carry out research under microgravity and pharmaceutical / biotechnological experiments. Whether the use of the modules begins with the completion of the space complex or earlier can not be assessed.
