Ba Chúc

Ba Chuc is a municipality in the province of An Giang in Vietnam. It became famous place during the Vietnam War. The New York Times revealed on 10 January 1971 that civilians were forced by officers of the ARVN and American military advisers to remove land mines that had been placed by Viet Cong units and the Vietnamese People's Army.

The place was 1978, the scene of a brutal massacre by the Khmer Rouge. The guerrilla movement from the neighboring country Cambodia murdered in the massacre of Ba Chuc 3,157 civilians, only two survived the massacre.
