Babeli Giezendanner

Anna Barbara Aemisegger - Giezendanner (* 1831 in Bendel, Kappel, † 1905) was a Swiss painter of naive painting. She belonged with the only woman among the earliest artists of this cultural region, and was popularly called " s'Giezedanners Babeli ".

After her husband died early due to an accident, Anna Barbara Aemisegger - Giezendanner trying to earn a living painting. In addition to this work, she also worked as a peddler and weaver.

Nevertheless, the merit was too low and they had to go through the community Hemberg ( their place of citizenship ) are supported.

They had three children.
