The Bad Schandau railway station is a local railway junction in Bad Schandau, Saxony. The station is located on the left bank of the Elbe on the railway line Decin Dresden -Neustadt, also the coming of Bautzen railway line ends here. History

Development to 1945

Bad Schandau got its railway connection with the construction of the Saxon-Bohemian railway, whose section was opened Königstein cribs on June 9, 1850. Development after 1945

Of crucial importance for the station Bad Schandau was the signing of the Interim Agreement on the implementation of mutual rail transport for the border crossing Prostřední Žleb -Bad Schandau on 31 August 1947. This regulation between the Czechoslovak State Railways ( CSD) and the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR ) was agreed the handover and takeover of all cross-border trains in Bad Schandau and the train station so the border station. Extensive changes were related to the electrification of the railway line from 1970 until 1976. Besides changes to the track facilities and a modern signal box was built. Bahnbetriebswerk Bad Schandau

When construction of the station, a simple boiler house of sandstone. In the 1920s, a turntable was built and enlarged the boiler house. 1925, the depot was established in Bad Schandau.
