Badminton Association of India

The Badminton Association of India (BAI ) is the supreme national administrative organization in the sport of badminton in India. The association was founded in 1934.

History

India is the game Poona as a country of origin of badminton sport. One year after the founding of the Indian Association he was in 1935 [note 1] tenth member of the Badminton World Federation, at that time as International Badminton Federation announced. The BAI was also a founding member in 1959 in the continental governing body Badminton Asia Confederation, then still known as the Asian Badminton Confederation. The Indian Championships are held since 1934, where they were partially open for international starter.
