Baghdad Tower

The TV Tower Baghdad (Arabic: برج بغداد Burj Baghdād, Tower of Baghdad '), also Al Ma'amoon Telecommunication Center Tower, is a 1992-1994 television tower erected in reinforced concrete in the quarter- Yarmouk in western Baghdad. It was originally called International Saddam Tower and renamed in 2003.

From the floor to the tip of the antenna, the tower measures 205 meters ( to the roof 150 meters), making it the tallest structure in Iraq. In the tower basket is a revolving restaurant. The architectural language is easy to Islam. The base is adorned with Arabic arches and the tower structure is reminiscent of minarets. During the Second Gulf War, the tower was used by Iraqi snipers and destroyed by British airmen.
