Baltija Shipbuilding Yard

AB Baltijos Laivų Statykla is a shipyard in the Lithuanian Klaipeda.

In addition to pontoons, river ferries, components and sections for container ships trawlers, offshore Vessels and floating docks are made.

The shipyard was founded in 1952 by the decree of the Ministry of shipbuilding of the Soviet Union to make fishing boats. From 1958 also floating docks were produced. Since April 1997, the shipyard is among 98.5 per cent of the Danish shipyard Odense Staalskibsværft, which in turn is part of the group AP Moller- Maersk. The Odense Staalskibsværft invested since April 1997 21 million euros in the yard.
