Bambara, also known as Bamanankan, is a Mande language spoken in Mali in West Africa. It counts together with Diula and Malinke to the dialect continuum ( merge into each other dialects of the same language ) of the Manding, which is understood by about 30 million people in ten countries in West Africa to varying degrees and spoken. The Jula of Côte d'Ivoire is a simplified influenced by the Malinke Bambara, the Jula of Burkina Faso nearly congruent with the Bambara.

With the Bambara as the central variant of Manding can be found practically everywhere in Mali, in most regions of Burkina Faso and the Ivory Coast and in the eastern halves communicate Guinea and Senegal.

When writing either the Latin -based alphabet Africa or the N'Ko own font to be used. The language code is bm or bam ( ISO 639).
