Bambusa oldhamii is a bamboo species in the genus Bambusa.

Description

Bambusa oldhamii reaches heights 6-12 meters. The blades have a diameter of 3 to 9 inches, are green, aged yellow to yellow and very stable. The internodes are 20 to 35 inches long and have a wall thickness of 4-12 mm. The nodes are narrow and from the middle Halmhöhe starting point of numerous branches, three of which are formed mostly stronger. The Halmscheiden are dark brown, leathery and fall off early. Bambusa oldhamii is in southern China native to the tropical plains of Fujian, Guangxi, Hainan and was introduced early on Taiwan. There, the type is often grown for their sprouts.
