Banbury and Cheltenham Direct Railway

The Banbury to Cheltenham Direct Railway was a British railway company in Gloucestershire in England. Its route network had a length of 53 kilometers.

The Great Western Railway subsidiaries Bourton-on -the-Water Chipping Railway and Northern Railway founded on July 21, 1873, the Banbury and Cheltenham Direct. On June 1, 1881 this opened the railway Cheltenham Bourton and on 6 April 1887, the railway line Chipping Northern Kings Sutton. Thus, a continuous connection to the GWR route from Cheltenham Oxford - Worcester was created in Kings Sutton.
