Bancroft Prize
The Bancroft Prize (English, plural, Bancroft Prizes ) is a prize from Columbia University for American History and Diplomatic History. The prize is awarded since 1948 and is considered one of the most significant prices for American historiography.
It is named after the historian Frederic Bancroft ( 1860-1945 ).
