Band-Skyphos

Band skyphoi ( singular: Band Skyphos ) are a hybrid of the normal skyphoi and band shell. Here, the shape of the skyphoi is connected to the shape of the decoration strip shells.

In the outer shape of the band - skyphoi are a bit stockier than the skyphoi the Komasten group. Her lips are concave as in strip shells. The works are qualitatively less to evaluate than the shells, which is also the producer must have been aware, since so far no band was skyphoi with a signature found. There are a few similar forms. So the Hermogenischen skyphoi that match those of the Komasten group in the production and have very fine walls and easily ausschwingende lips.
