Banda Eva

Banda Eva or Eva Grupo is a Brazilian samba reggae and axé band from Bahia.

Career

Banda Eva, Banda EVA or EVA only emerged in 1980 as a block carnival in Salvador da Bahia and since 1993 as a music group. She brought famous artists like Luiz Caldas, Daniela Mercury, Ivete Sangalo, Ricardo Chavez and Durval Lely, singer of the band Asa de Águia forth. From 1986 to 1989 Daniela Mercury sang the backing vocals of the carnival block. 1993 Banda Eva received a recording contract with Sony Music, switched to PolyGram later and is currently under contract with Universal Music Group. The greatest success was Banda Eva Ivete Sangalo with the hits like "Me Abraca ", " Beleza Rara ", " Levada Louca ", " Arere " and " Carro Velho " sang. Ivete Sangalo 1998 left Banda Eva and pursued her solo career. Emanuelle Araújo was the successor of Ivete Sangalo, were with her hits such as " Pra Lá e Pra Cá " and " Chuva de Verão ". 2002 took Saulo Fernandes, the former singer of the band Chica Fé their place. In 2005, the group celebrated its 25th anniversary and took in Riocentro / Rio de Janeiro, the CD and DVD " Banda Eva 25 Anos Ao Vivo " with the artists of their careers Ricardo Chaves, Luiz Caldas, Durval Lely, Emanuelle Araújo and Ivete Sangalo on. Even today, Banda Eva is one of the most important and stylistic musical groups from Salvador da Bahia.
