Business

The company operates mainly coal mining and coal power plants in Thailand, Indonesia and China. Originally it was called " Ban Pu Coal Company " and was owned by the families Auapinyakul and Vongkusolkit. It employed in 2013 than 6000 employees in six countries. Approximately half of them in Indonesia, a third in Australia and the remainder in China, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and Mongolia. The Banpu 's share is part of the SET index.
