Banque du Caire ( BdC ) or Bank of Cairo is a universal bank in Cairo in Egyptian state-owned, with offices abroad: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Ras al -Khaimah ( UAE ), Manama (Bahrain), as well as offices in Kiev (Ukraine ) and Harare ( Zimbabwe). Connections exist after Saudi Arabia and Uganda.

The Bank is active in many industries as an investor; it has, for example, 20 percent of Air Cairo and 21.8 percent in the United Bank of Egypt. In Uganda, the Bank holds 44.4 percent at the Cairo International Bank.

Due to legal regulations in Egypt, which regulates the number of participations of banks (Law 159/1981 ), the Bank has isolated until 2011 by many investments. In 2006 she made, for example, about 80 percent of its large share of Suez Steel. Investments in other companies were especially given to the Investment Company Misr and Egypt - Abu Dhabi Real Estate Investment 2009.

The Bank applies - in relation to the number of customers ( 1.9 million ) and its involvement in numerous industries - as the third largest bank in Egypt.
