Barakoni (Georgian ბარაკონი; bɑrɑkɔnɪ ) is a Georgian Orthodox church in the region Racha - Letschchumi and Niederswanetien, in the municipality Ambrolauri, in the historical province of Racha. It is located near the village Zesi. The church was built in 1753 by architect Awtandil Schulawreli after the order of Rostom eristavis ( Eristavi of Racha ). The building is rectangular. Its dome rests on the two westerly freestanding columns. The church is built of stone and adorned with numerous traditional Georgian ornaments.
