Barbara Kesel

Barbara Kesel, born Randall ( born October 2, 1960) is an American comic book writer and editor-in -.

Life and work

Randall / Kesel since the late 1980s, working as a full-time comic book writer. Her first engagement in the industry she received from Dick Giordano, then a senior editor at U.S. publishing house DC Comics. Occasion of their employment was a ten -page letter of complaint to Kesels Giordano, in which they criticized the portrayal of women in the book edited by Giordano comic series. Giordano entrusted Randall and her husband, Karl Kesel - whose name she took at that time and of which she is now divorced again - with the design of the adventure series Hawk and Dove, which describes the experiences of an unequal sister and brother. Kesels "Run" to Hawk and Dove was received favorably to the readers like the criticism.

Following on from this first success Kesel received a number of other writing assignments. For Dark Horse Kesel wrote the mini-series Aliens versus Predator: Booty well as numerous comic created by Mike Mignola for the Hellboy figure. For DC followed the One Shot Lois Lane from 1998 and the miniseries Else World's Finest: Supergirl & Batgirl. For Wilstorm they texted a few issues of the series Wildcats.
