Bařice-Velké Těšany

Bařice - Velké Těšany is a place in Okres Kroměříž, Moravia. In the three districts with an area of ​​670 hectares located 460 inhabitants.

History

The first written record comes from the year 1228. Bařice The place was then bought by the Archdiocese of Olomouc added to the monastery Velehrad. In the village there was at that time a small fortress with a moat and rampart. You Catholic population lived from agriculture. The place was twice ravaged by the plague and destroyed several times by fire, hail and storm partially.

Attractions

  • Windmill German type of construction, built in 1830 by Josef Bartoňs. The mill was used mainly by the locals. The mill fell into disrepair after it was no longer used, but was then restored and since 1960 a cultural monument.
