Barinas is a city in Venezuela. It is in the same state of Barinas and is its capital city. Located in the west of Venezuela city has 271,000 inhabitants ( 2000).

Sports

The football club FC Zamora is based in Barinas and plays its home matches at the Estadio Agustín Tovar Stadium. The stadium was the venue for a match of the Copa América 2007.
