Barka (Oman)

Barka (Arabic بركاء, DMG Barka ʾ ) is a coastal town in the region Al Batinah Region, in northern Oman. It is about an hour's drive from the capital Muscat. The town is nationally known for its great fish market, which is increasingly visited by tourists. Also the fort in the center is worth seeing. Since the 1990s, the Oman College of Science & Technology is also located there.
