Baron Chorley

Baron Chorley of Kendal in the County of Westmorland, is a British hereditary title of nobility in the Peerage of the United Kingdom, which is run by the family Chorley.

Award

The title was created in 1945 for the Labour politician Robert Chorley. This was an important law professor in the period before the Second World War. During the war he worked as a civil servant in various high-level positions.
