Baron Lawrence

Baron Lawrence of the Punjab and of Grateley in the County of Southampton, is a British hereditary title of nobility, which belongs to the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It is led by the Lawrence family.

Award

The title was Sir John Lawrence, 1st Baronet, created in 1869. This had previously been five years Governor-General and Viceroy of India.

Another title

The respective Baron also carries the title of baronet, of the Army, which was in 1858 awarded to the later first Baron. It belongs to the Baronetage of the United Kingdom.
