Baron Vestey

Baron Vestey, of Kingswood in the County of Surrey, is a British hereditary title of nobility in the Peerage of the United Kingdom, named after the family Vestey.

Ancestral home of the family is Stowell Park Estate, in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire.

Award

The title was created in 1922 for the businessman and shipowner William Vestey. This had come to prosperity in the UK by cattle farms overseas and the beef import. At the Vestey Group included in particular the Blue Star Line.

Another title

William Vestey was a baronet in 1913, of Bessemer House, levied. This baronetcy is now operated as a subordinate item.
