Geography

It is located on the territory of the department of Río Negro in the sector 1 Barrio Anglo located on the banks of the Uruguay River, bordered to the west by the city of Fray Bentos. Downstream of the Rio Uruguay is found, located behind the Arroyo Fray Bentos, Las Cañas.

The place had 2004 818 inhabitants in the census year.
