Barry Windham

Barry Clinton Windham ( born July 4, 1960 in Sweetwater, Texas ) is a former American professional wrestler.

Career

Beginnings and WWF

Barry Windham's father is former wrestler Robert Windham ( Blackjack Mulligan ) and so he came as a child with this form of entertainment in contact. He was trained by his father, Harley Race, and finally debuted in 1980 in Florida. With his brother in law Mike Rotunda he formed in the mid- 1980s the Tag Team U.S. Express in the WWF. Together they were able to win the WWF World Tag Team Championship twice there.

NWA

In 1986, Barry Windham for the National Wrestling Alliance. There they left the NWA United States Tag Team Championship win it as a team with Ronnie Garvin. Their biggest feud they had as a team with the Midnight Express. In spring 1987, they had to lose the tag team titles to Ivan Koloff and Dick Murdoch. Was then dissolved on the team and Windham feuded with Ric Flair. Later allowed Windham to win the Western States Heritage Championship. His reign lasted until January 1988 when he had to lose the title to Larry Zbyszko. In March, he was allowed along with Lex Luger to win the NWA World Tag Team title. Then he replaced Ole Anderson and was next to Ric Flair, Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson member of the legendary group The Four Horsemen.

After he had left the stable, he was awarded after a victory over Nelson Scott Simpson ( Nikita Koloff ) the NWA United States Heavyweight Title. After he had to pass on the title to Lex Luger in 1989, he formed with Dustin Rhodes a tag team. In 1989, Windham then again in the WWF and went to as The Widowmaker. But he returned in 1990 back to WCW. Here he was again a member of the Four Horsemen. He feuded with Arn Anderson against the team Doom and then with Dustin Rhodes against Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko. In the spring of 1992 Windham feuded with Steve Austin then.

In the fall of 1992, he and Rhodes were together to win the NWA World Tag Team Titles and hold for 2 months. The highlight of his career reached Barry Windham in 1993, when he was allowed to win in a match against the Great Muta NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Almost five months later, he had to lose the title to Ric Flair. Then he made a two-year break.

WWF / E and WCW

In 1996 he went as The Stalker back to the WWF. In 1997, he formed a short-lived tag team with John Bradshaw Layfield as The New Blackjacks. In 1999, Windham back to World Championship Wrestling. There he had, among other programs feud with Ric Flair, Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko. During this time allowed Windham win twice WCW Tag Team Titles. 2000 Windham left WCW and joined in Independent leagues until his career end of 2004. Since May 2006 he has been working as a producer in WWE.
