Barış Demirci

Barış Demirci (born 13 February 1986) is a Turkish ski jumper. He currently holds the Turkish record with 123 yards.

Demirci began as one of the first ski jumper in Turkey at an international level. So he gave on October 7, 2006, his debut in the FIS Cup. He reached the 27th place while jumping in Einsiedeln. On 10 March 2007, he was first nominated for a jump in the FIS Ski Jumping Continental Cup and jumped in two competitions in Vikersund on the 52nd place. In September 2007 he jumped with only mediocre success four competitions in the FIS Cup. However, in Oberwiesenthal and Falun he could not reach the front seats. His best place was 27th in Falun. In two Continental Cup competitions in Villach short time later, he missed just the points and landed only at number 59 Despite these international jumping rather weak results Demirci applies as a pioneer in his country. At the end of the summer of 2007, he finished, however, surprising his career.
