BASIC Stamp
BASIC Stamp ( BASIC Stamp ) is the trademarked name for a family of microcontroller programmed blocks of the company Parallax.
The first BASIC Stamp came in 1992 to market and united a programmed PIC microcontroller with the most necessary peripherals on a small printed circuit board. While microcontroller until then had usually with the aid of expensive development systems usually are programmed in assembly language or a C compiler, a BASIC interpreter has been integrated into the BASIC Stamp. This permitted a rapid development program on any personal computer and the transmission of the final code for the controller with a simple connecting cable. Although the programs were running relatively slowly at first Basic Stamps, several limitations subject and the stamps were relatively expensive, provided the ease of use for a fairly rapid spread of these mini - computers.
Basic Stamps now exists in many versions, some with 16 -bit processors, USB Interface, A / D converters, and other Extensions.
In Germany widely used is the so-called Basic Tiger.
