Batbayan

Batbajan or Besmer ( gr Βαίανος [ Baianos ] ) was a Bulgarian Khan from home Dulo. In the "Name of the Bulgarian Khans book " it is mentioned under the name Besmer, and in other sources as Batbai. It is believed that he was the oldest of the five sons of Kubrat. Currently Kubrat ruled Batbajan a part of Great Bulgaria, after Kubrat 's death, Batbajan the total domination. He ruled barely three years ( 665-668 ) independently until he was forced to accept the supremacy of the Khazar khanate.

He is also associated with the Bulgarian custom of Marteniza.
