Bath Spa railway station

Bath Spa is a railway station in the British city of Bath. It was opened in 1840 by the Great Western Railway, located on the major route Great Western Main Line and is now served by trains of the companies First Great Western and South West Trains. In operation 2004 /05 took 3.726 million passengers the station.

Designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel station building is built in an asymmetrical Tudor style with curved gables and is a listed building. It stands on the north bank of the River Avon; the track was built so that it crosses the river at both ends of the station. The station underpass leads directly to (former toll ) Pedestrian bridge over the river over to the district Widcombe.

Approximately 800 meters to the northwest was the Green Park Station, on the Midland Railway. It was opened in 1869 and closed in 1966. Since then run all trains over Bath Spa.
