Bathinda ( Punjabi: ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ) is a city in the Indian state of Punjab with a population of about 286,000 ( census 2011) and since 1953 the capital of the district of the same.

The fort Qila Mubarak is a nearly 2000 year old monument in the city center. Bathinda has one of the largest railway junction of Asia, through which it is connected to the neighboring cities of Mandi Dabwali, Kalanwali, Mansa, Rampura Phul, Malaut and Faridkot. It lies on the intersection of National Highways 15 and 64 54 % of the population are male.
