Batlava Lake
The Batlava Lake (Albanian Liqeni i Batllavës; Serbian Batlavsko Jezero / Батлавско језеро ) is an important reservoir in the municipality of Podujevo, Kosovo. It is fed mainly by the small river Batlava, which flows a few miles below the dam in the Lab / Llapi.
For the drinking water supply of the Kosovan capital Pristina as well as the municipality of Podujevo the lake plays a major role. As a result of population growth of the two cities, however, the lake needs in dry years barely cover.
In addition, the Batlava Lake is also used as a recreation area, especially for camping and water sports. Nearby is also the airfield Batlava.
