Batman Dam

The Batman Dam is one of the 22 dams of the Southeastern Anatolia Project GAP in Turkey. She stands at Batman, a tributary of the Tigris River, in southeastern Turkey and serves the power generation and irrigation. The hydropower plant has a capacity of 198 MW and was commissioned in 1998. Every year 483 GWh of electricity can be generated. The irrigated area comprises 37,744 km ².

The dam from bulk material is 71.5 m high and 85 m above the foundation.
