Battery

The word battery stands for various terms, where the combination of several, mostly the same objects is based mostly:

Battery ( electrical engineering), the interconnection of several galvanic cells, colloquially individual for such a cell
Starter battery, also colloquially car battery, a specially assigned for the starter motor vehicles interconnection of several secondary cells
Traction battery, specifically intended for driving in electric vehicles interconnection of accumulators cells
Capacitor bank, the electrical connection of several capacitors
Atom battery, see radionuclide
Battery, the French term for a set of drums in old sheet sets
Battery ( military ), an Artillery or Army air defense unit and fortified positions of the Fortress, coastal and naval artillery
Battery ( chess ), a combination of several figures along a particular line of action, especially for a discovered check
