The Battle of Fraga occurred on July 17, 1134 between the army of the Almoravids and King Alfonso I of Aragon, called " el Batallador ".

After several successes against the Almoravids, the King of Aragon led by a prolonged siege of the then Moorish town of Fraga, whose residents asked for help by the Almoravids. The battle ended victoriously for the Almoravids. It was their last victory on the Iberian Peninsula. The Christian forces suffered heavy losses. Alfonso I died, probably severely wounded in the battle, on 7 September 1134.
