Battle of Karnal

The Battle of Karnal took place between the victorious forces of Nadir Shah and the forces of the Mughal emperor Muhammad Shah in Karnal on February 13, 1739.

After the victory of Nadir Shah moved on March 11, 1739 with his prisoner Muhammad Shah in the immediately south to the place of slaughter Delhi one. There, the winner of the royal treasure fell into the hands of the Nadir Shah took back to Persia. Parts of this treasure were the Iranian Crown Jewels, including the diamond Koh -i-Noor and Darya -ye Noor. Likewise, Nadir Shah took the Peacock Throne from Delhi. The troops left Delhi early May 1739 and took numerous other treasures as well as camels, elephants and horses.
