Battle of Lake Vadimo (283 BC)

The second Battle of the Vadimonischen lake was probably 283 BC instead. The Roman troops stood an army of Gauls ( senones and Boii ) and Etruscans against. The Roman army was commanded by the consul Publius Cornelius Dolabella. In the battle the Romans were victorious and thus ensured that the Etruscans were now finally subjected to Roman rule.
