The Battle of Plovdiv ( Turkish Filibe Muharebesi ) was one of the last battles in the Russo- Ottoman War ( 1877-1878 ).

After the destruction of the Ottoman army in the Battle of Shipka Pass IV General Gurko moved with his troops against Southern Bulgaria.
